Tami…
You were a welcome surprise tonight on the radio. Good to hear the other gender for once : )
Thank you for sharing your testimony, and for the introduction into the Covenant Creation. You sure held our attention, and you could tell by the quiet chatroom !!
Looking forward to the broadcast of the conference.
Thanks, May Lyn, for your kind response! It’s a real encouragement.
Being gently challenged on yet another pillar-to-fall belief (Creation Science), I am open to its potentially faith-changing effect on my understanding of creation as history. This may be a little painful for me. But if it’s the truth of Scripture, gulp, bring out the knife. Thank you, Mike and Tami for challenging me (and us) on this. God bless you guys.
Hi Peter,
I am not sure what you mean by “faith changing,” but since coming to see the Genesis creation account in harmony with the rest of the Bible–the glorious story of Redemption–my faith in the authority of the Scriptures has actually been strengthened. Early on I did ask myself the question, “if it turns out the Bible doesn’t tell us how God created the universe after all, and the Genesis creation account isn’t even about the material creation, would that have any negative impact on my faith?” (ie, my faith in the gospel as well as in the authority of Scripture) And the surprising (to me, at first) answer was, no! In fact, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Since beginning this study, the Scripture has become even *more* marvelous in my eyes, if indeed that were possible.
Thanks for the comments and be encouraged!
Tami
Thanks for the feedback Peter. I hope your journey in search of the truth is as enriching for you as it has been for me.
