Too bad Phil isn’t still state side. Then he could try for a teaching job in the school system and let the unending supply of tax dollars support him!

As one sitting on the orthodox side, I think Phil did a great job this episode of challenging some of the core FP assumptions. (Michael freely admits he’s proposing another novel interpretation within FP and that he does not presume to represent the plethora of schemes that have left the orthodox view.)

I would love to see more of this constructive interaction between orthodox and FP on the issues of import.

Thanks fellas, and endure in the good fight, Phil. 🙂

But Rivers…I do believe that there was a physical, bodily resurrection in the first century fulfilling the promises found in the prophets, evidenced in Matthew 27:51-52.

You see…Preterist’s can have their physical, bodily resurrection cake and eat it too. Matter of fact…Early church commentary on that resurrection event describes it as the time when every tear was wiped away.
