Well Don didn’t draw any conclusions but with all those hints it would seem Moses got his Genesis story from the ancient Egyptian writings. Would that be about right?
Hey Mo…I think Don’s position is that there were multiple authors in the early chapters of Genesis. That Moses compiled their writings or oral traditions. I don’t believe that he holds to the position that Moses was simply inspired to write these things with no previous knowledge of them.
If I understand correctly the book of Genesis covers a period of at least 2500 years. And that Moses was the one chosen by God to compile the history from Adam into one volume.
I could be wrong but that’s how I remember it.
Hope that helps.
Mike
